About

Haus Obscura is a fine art print studio and contemporary gallery based in Austin, Texas. Founded by artists Mark Mikhail and Heather Slingerland, the space was created to support the full life of an artwork, from production and presentation to exhibition and collection.

We work with photographers, painters, and interdisciplinary artists to produce museum-quality prints and exhibitions with the care and attention that meaningful work deserves. Our services include archival printing, edition management, retouching, framing, exhibition production, and collaborative project support.

Alongside our print practice, Haus Obscura presents rotating exhibitions, installations, artist talks, and community events that explore contemporary image-making, storytelling, and culture.

We believe that printmaking, exhibition design, and artistic practice are deeply connected, and that craftsmanship remains essential in an increasingly digital world. Whether producing a single print or mounting a full exhibition, our goal is the same: to help artists realize their work with clarity, precision, and intention.
